This means, that all incoming traffic comes first to the mailfilter before to\u00a0your mailbox.\u00a0Mails with viruses will be deleted or classified as\u00a0spam or no spam.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spam classified mails are moved to your personal quarantine and not deliviered to the mailserver,<\/li>\n<li>while mails with a virus are deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this document you get further information about\u00a0important behaviours of the mailfilter and how you can access your quarantine.<\/p>\n<h1>Basics and over all preferences of the mailfilter<\/h1>\n<p>First the most important Settings of the mailfilter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The mailfilter creates for each incomming mailadress of a protectet domain a seperate quarantine.\u00a0This means, if you have more than one mailadress, you will also have more than one quraantine and also get more than one quarantine report.<\/li>\n<li>Quarantined spammails\u00a0older than\u00a030\u00a0days will\u00a0be automatically deleted.\u00a0During this time, you can watch at your quarantined mails, release ore delete them..<\/li>\n<li>The mailfilter\u00a0sends twice a day a quarantine report\u00a0at 10 am and 3 pm, but only, if new mails are quarantined since the last report. Further Details see below.<\/li>\n<li>All system mails comming from the mailfilter are comming from the domain\u00a0\u201econ2u.ch\u201d. The sender of the reports is\u00a0\u201crelease-ctrl@con2u.ch\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>The mailfilter also works as a buffer in case, that the responsible mailserver is not reachable. The mails are held for max. 24 hours, while it tries to deliver them every 15 minutes. Is the mailfilter not able to deliver after 24 hours, it deletes the message and sends\u00a0a non delivery report to the sender of the mail.<\/li>\n<li>Greylisting is the most efficient method the block spamers (over 40%), but greylisting delays a mail, if the\u00a0sender is new for the mailfilter. The\u00a0duration of the delay depends of the settings of the sending server and is normally a few minutes. This is important to know, if you are waiting for mail from a new sender.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"Benutzeranleitung Mailfilter\" href=\"http:\/\/v3.itam.ch\/?page_id=272\">&gt;&gt; Top<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"Tipps\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Tipps<\/h1>\n<p>The following instruction\u00a0brings you\u00a0the best handling\u00a0for daily business with our mailfilter:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Control each quarantine report and release the false positiv spams. By realeasing the mails, the senders mailadress is also automatically whitelisted.<\/li>\n<li>Keep always the last report, because at the bottom of the reportmail is a link to acces your quarantine with automatic login. There is no other accesss to your quarantine except by administrator.<\/li>\n<li>Ther is no need\u00a0to delete the mails in the quarantine.\u00a0They will be deleted after 30 days. Be aware, that once they are deleted, ther ist no way to recover them!<\/li>\n<li>The access to release the mails for generic mailadresses like info@yourdomain.com has to be organized because they are deleted too after 30 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a title=\"Benutzeranleitung Mailfilter\" href=\"http:\/\/v3.itam.ch\/?page_id=272\">&gt;&gt; Top<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"Quarantaene\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Quarantine administration<\/h1>\n<p>The quaratine reports include a list of all quaratined mails since the last report (see Picture 1).<\/p>\n<p>Picture 1: Quarantine report<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itam.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mailfilter-BA1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Mailfilter-BA1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itam.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mailfilter-BA1-300x185.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"185\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the weblinks in the report you\u00a0can take\u00a0the following actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On a per mail basis: Release or delete a mail. While releasing a mail inserts the sender adress to the whitelist, deleting doesn&#8217;t blacklist it.<\/li>\n<li>At\u00a0the bottom of the report you have 2 further weblinks:\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cClick Here\u201d in \u201cWeb Action\u201d: Deletes all mails listed in this report from the quarantine.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cClick Here\u201d in Other (marked yellow):\u00a0With this link you get acces to\u00a0your personal quarantine on the mailfilter\u00a0(see pic\u00a02).\u00a0Included in\u00a0this link you is an access token which grants you the access for 7 days.
